Amazingly against what you would think this enemy can be defeated very easily, that is if you choose to do so. There are two different ways it can be taken on, one which ends in a gory death and the other which will give you some extras for doing so. The details of this choice can be found below.

In Resident Evil Survivor there isn't just one of these, but instead two. Thankfully there is a bit of a trick you can pull off to help you defeat both of these enemies.

Easy
The easy was is simply running away from the Croc till you get to a switch on the left-hand wall. Beside it is a large container of gas. By pressing the button you release the container. When the Croc catches up it will pick up the container in it's mouth allowing you to kill it Jaws style.

Hard
If you shoot and run, shoot and run, shoot and run etc. all the way around till the end of the hallway then this is the hardway. By the time your backed to the door and the crocs nose is on the camera shooting it should piss it off enough to make it run. Doing this will give you extra items when you get to the tram station. Check the shelf. Keep in mind that if you do this the Croc is still there in the B game where you can do either the easy way or the hard way again. Doing the hard way again will kill it on the spot, so it might be worth doing it the easy way the second time - just for the fun of it.

RESIDENT EVIL SURVIVOR:
The part through the sewers after the prison will lead you to a path where no just one, but two crocs will attack on both sides of you. However as long as your back to one of them and move as far back from the one your attacking then you'll be able to take them out with even any choice of Handgun that you have.
